Head and neck cancers are among the most commonly diagnosed in Australia. They’re also some of the most beatable, but all too often drastic treatment, like the removal of parts of the tongue, jaw and throat lead to permanent disability for the survivor. A support group is calling on the Federal Government to help fund an awareness campaign as well as support services for survivors whom have undergone life changing surgery.
