In 2021, Julie completed another set of the most important interviews of her life. In 2013 she was given the shocking news that she had stage four throat cancer. Over eight years later, she is alive after 30 radiation sessions, weekly chemo and months of care from a big team.
In 2020, in partnership with St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, The Kinghorn Cancer Centre & St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Julie produced the Head & Neck Cancer 2020 Video Series to hear from cancer team members & patients about treatment & recovery.
These up-to-the minute, evidence-based interviews were filmed in radiation bunkers, operating theatres and research centres. They showcase the latest technology and the committed group of doctors, nurses and allied health professionals who make recovery possible.
In 2021, again to mark World Head & Neck Cancer Day on 27 July, Julie produced another set of video interviews that focus on dental and oral care, in particular.
