Targeting Cancer – Close The Care Gap in Radiation Therapy 2022 Video Series

The theme for World Cancer Day in 2022 and the following two years is Close The Care Gap. This international movement is highlighting inequities in access to diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for people affected by cancer and their families. As an Ambassador for the Targeting Cancer Campaign and a cancer survivor, Julie is working to support this campaign to improve access to cancer treatment for everyone who needs it.

Wherever we live, we deserve the best possible chance to survive cancer and receive the treatment that will help us. We should be able to get access to radiation therapy if we need it. Right now in Australia and New Zealand there are cancer patients who struggle to get the radiation therapy they need. In some parts of the world, it’s impossible for cancer patients to get radiation therapy. This is why the Targeting Cancer Campaign is supporting the work to Close the Care Gap in Radiation Therapy at home and abroad.
