Julie to Speak at Antidote Festival

Sydney’s ground-breaking Festival of Dangerous Ideas has morphed this year into Antidote, taking place at the Sydney Opera House in the first week of September.

Antidote is a chance for people to come together to recharge, rethink, take stock, and take action. It involves solo talks, group discussions, performances of theatre and dance, performance art, and more – all focused on the key issues of our times.

Julie will be giving a solo talk on Sunday, 3 September, 2017 at 3.30pm called “The First Parade”. Forty years on from Sydney’s first Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, the celebration’s activist roots remain urgently relevant. Julie reflects on the cultural change that still needs to happen.

You can read more about Julie’s talk here, including times, venue and ticket prices, and you can find our more about the whole Antidote festival here.
