A professional development event for family law practitioners facilitated by Julie McCrossin. Keynote speakers are:

Justice Garry Foster, Family Court of Australia
● How the courts deal with the child’s rights and views, and take them into account

Kylie Beckhouse, Executive Director Family Law, Legal Aid NSW;
● An ICLs perspective … incorporating international approaches and innovations dealing with kids’ views and rights

Deborah Fry, Regional Coordinator NSW/ACT Child Dispute Services Family Court of Australia and Federal Circuit Court of Australia
● How does a family consultant manage children’s views

Lisa Robinson, UnitingCare Unifam, The Anchor Program
● Honouring the experience of the child, therapeutic work with children and their parents post-separation

The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session with the keynote speakers.
